Laura practices in the areas of complex litigation and employment law. Her expertise includes all aspects of the litigation process, from motion practice, discovery, and trial to appellate matters and alternative dispute resolution. She also possesses extensive experience researching and analyzing a variety of labor and employment law matters in both private and public sectors. She has advised clients and senior lawyers on state and federal law concerning wage-and-hour disputes, discrimination and harassment claims, whistleblower claims, and employee benefits issues, and has drafted and reviewed employment policies and employee handbooks.
Prior to joining Zelle, Laura was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Wilhelmina Wright, the Honorable Roger Klaphake, and the Honorable Terri Stoneburner at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. At the Court of Appeals, Laura worked on appeals involving employment law, contracts, civil and criminal procedure, constitutional law, real property, administrative law, and unemployment benefits.
During law school, Laura interned with the Honorable Edward S. Wilson, Minnesota District Court—Second District, and served as a law clerk at the Minneapolis City Attorney’s Office, Civil Division, and the law firm of Larkin Hoffman.
