Vishio brings 15 years of extensive antitrust litigation experience to Zelle, both as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division and as an antitrust litigator in private practice with her former firm, Dickstein Shapiro in Washington, D.C. At the DOJ, she led several merger and conduct investigations and was an instrumental member of the trial team in large-scale, high-profile antitrust cases, including the Division’s successful challenges to the Aetna/Humana health insurance merger and to AB Electrolux’s proposed merger with General Electric Co.’s appliances business.
“Zelle’s antitrust attorneys bring a real sense of creativity and innovation to their work on antitrust and financial services matters,” said Vishio. “Having had the privilege of being colleagues with Zelle’s Washington D.C. lawyers for over a decade at Dickstein Shapiro, I look forward to again working shoulder-to-shoulder with them.”
“Attorneys with Mimi’s breadth of experience and talent are rare. At both Dickstein and the DOJ, she conducted investigations, developed cases, and took them to trial, giving her unique insight into all aspects of antitrust enforcement and litigation from inception to trial,” said Jennifer Duncan Hackett, managing partner of the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office. “Being able to add Mimi to the antitrust group at Zelle demonstrates the Firm’s commitment to providing our clients the very best legal talent in every practice area. We could not be happier to be working with her again."
Vishio received her law degree, magna cum laude, from American University’s Washington College of Law, her Master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and her undergraduate degree from Princeton University.
