Zealous Woman Patricia St. Peter is scheduled to speak during the Defense Research Institute's upcoming webcast "Lessons Learned from the Gulf Oil Spill - Insuring and Sharing Risk in Catastrophic Events." The webcast, presented by DRI's Construction Law and Insurance Law Committees, will address the issues involved in risk sharing and risk transfer in construction and oilfield contracts, including master service agreements and how different types of primary and umbrella insurance policies respond to these risks.
Attendees will learn how to draft effective indemnity, knock-for-knock and insurance provisions for your clients' construction and oil industry contracts, where risk can be shifted in contractual relationships, how to protect your clients' insurance coverage from being eroded by contract partners, insurance coverage issues in relation to catastrophic pollution events or construction failures, and lessons learned from the oil spill.
The webcast will be held December 1, 2010, at 1:00 pm (CST). For additional information, please click here.
